Function |
Explanation |
| F1: Max Tank Temp |
Once this temp is
reached the solar ciruculation pump is turned off
to prevent further heating of the tank. Error 1 displayed. |
| F2: Min Tank Temp |
If the bottom of the tank drops below this temp error
reporting occurs (Error 2). |
| F3: Delta-T On |
The temp differential required for solar pump operation
to occur. |
| F4: Delta-T Off |
The temp differential at which the solar pump turns
back off. |
| F5: Collector Startup |
The minimum collector temp before Delta-T operation
can begin. Prevents pump circulation when minimal heat
potential is present. |
| F6: Freeze On |
The circulation pump is switched on when the manifold
drops below this temp - this is the standard freeze
protection method for mildly cold areas. |
| F7: Freeze Off |
The circulation pump is switched off once this temp
is reached. |
| F8: Collector Max |
If this temp is reached Error 6 is displayed. This
function should be turned off if function 1 is operational. |
| F9: Collector Min |
If the collector drops below this temperature Error
7 is displayed - indicating that freeze protection has
failed (or is incorrectly set). |
| F10: Boost On |
Once the top of the tank drops below this set temp,
power is supplied to the 2nd relay which can active
a circulation pump for boosting (eg gas tankless heater) |
| F11: Boost Off |
Once the top of the tank reaches this temp the 2nd
relay turns off. |
| F12: Excess Heat ON |
If the top tank temp reaches this level power is supplied
to the 3rd relay, allowing heat to be drawn from the
tank for other uses (pool, spa, central heating) or
for heat dissipation to prevent tank overheating. |
| F13: Excess Heat OFF |
Once the top tank temp drops below this level the
power supply to the 3rd relay is stopped. |
| F14: System Reset |
Defaults to most common system settings. |
| F13: Tank Cooling Temp |
If the bottom of the tank reaches this high temperature
the pump will circulate at night to cool the tank down. |
| F13: Tank Cooling Delta-T |
The negative Delta-T value that allows the pump to
turn on to cool down the system. |
Notes:
- All functions have adjustable temperature ranges.
- Exceeding the upper or lower limit of any function
turns it off.
